Metal Men are the their elements personified!
Look at previous posts about the Metal Men to see how this can be. This article is focusing on just Platina and Lead.

Platina (Pt)
Real world characteristics:
Platina is the Portuguese spelling of platinum.
It is the third densest element. Platinum is a fairly unreactive metal. However it is used to catalyze many reactions such as catalytic converters and hydrogen fuel cells. Also, a form of platinum, called cisplatinum, is the primary compound in chemotherapy. However, the largest use of this element is to make jewelry.

Comic characteristics:
She was the only female element in the group for a long time. She is very flirty with Magnus. She is a team player. Gold may be the leader but she is also a glue that keeps the team together and working well.
I can see were these traits can be reflected from the elements use in real life. Shiny personality but works well with the others to catalyze whatever is needed.

Lead (Pb)
Real world characteristics:
Pb stands for plumbum, which is its latin name. Lead is a grayish color that is easily manipulated (high ductility). This element has a rich history and attributed to the fall of the Roman Empire, as the Romans used lead pipes for running water. Throughout history, lead compounds were used as possible cures. Also, lead was used in paints for a very long time and only banned in the twentieth century. For a period of time, a lead compound was used in gasoline to increase the octane levels in vehicles. This was later determined to be hazardous due to expulsion of lead into the air and finally the mass buildup the element. A positive use of lead is for protective ware against radioactive elements. Lead’s density allows it to act as a block against radioactive decay.
The reason lead is so dangerous is due to its ability to deactivate the enzyme that produces hemoglobin, which then causes a build up of ALA, an acid that causes numerous health effects when in excess.

Comic characteristics:
Lead’s personality in the comic is one of a fun loving character that is not the brightest crayon in the box. This denseness is not unfounded as lead is a dense metal. He also seems to have a very stable personality, which lead has a very stable nucleus; as much so that it is the byproduct of many nuclear reactions.
